Handicraft project through Adolescent

Handicraft project of SUS has covered 84 adolescents (age 12-18) those who have come from hardcore poor, landless and marginal families and have worked as producers through five sections named by Batik-16, Nakshi-33, Sewing-16, Bamboo & cane-11 and Hand loam-8. This project has innovated 52 new designs under 5 sections. The produced products have been sold in Dhaka through SOURCE by the assistance of Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) and abroad markets through Siham Craftlink, Australia, U-Landsforeningen svalerme, Denmark and Global Handicrafters, USA. Besides, products have also been sold in local markets through SUS shops. The producers have earned in average tk.560.00 per head per month.
This project is continuously trying to strengthen the networking with other like-minded organizations for purchasing its products.
